We moved on to Honeymoon Lake and stayed there for the Labor Day long weekend. At first we were bummed to find out that, not only was the campground packed but we were sandwiched in between two sites containing a group of twenty-something partying Canadians. They turned out to be great and we ended up sitting around the fire with them the nights we stayed there. They taught us about keeping clear of Ptarmigans (too late), poutine (french fries with cheese curds and gravy), smokies (mmmm, local sausages) and a great locals spot for some cliff jumping and swimming (horseshoe lake).

To counteract the smokies and poutine, we hiked up to Geraldine Lakes (7.7 mi roundtrip, 1800 ft gain) one day and the Sulpher Skyline Hike another day (5 mi roundtrip and 2100 ft gain). Both were steep hikes. The hike to the first Geraldine Lake is pretty straight forward but after that, the trail gets rocky and steep but worth it. None of our pictures of the upper lake turned out but it's worth the extra effort. Sulpher Skyline trail is a really popular one and, although steep, has some of the best views we'd seen from the top.
