Jasper National Park - Pyramid Lake, Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake

Pyramid Lake

Maligne Canyon
Someone spent at least an hour trying
to capture this at Pyramid Lake (there were
several of them flying around us)
While hanging out at Honeymoon Lake with our new Canadian friends, the starter on our car decided to die.  Unfortunately, no automotive shops are open over the weekend and we couldn't get an appointment for several days.  So we hung around Jasper and push started the car everywhere we went.  For anyone who's followed this blog, this may ring some bells from our time with Burnie.  Nothing to get your heart pounding like a good car push start first thing in the morning.  During this time, we camped at Snaring River, which was a lovely little campground.
Along the road to Maligne Lake
Pyramid Lake is above the town of Jasper and is a pretty little spot for a walk or a kayak.  We also drove up the long road to Maligne Lake.  This would be an awesome spot to have a boat as you can only access one end of this huge lake otherwise.  The lake drains into the Maligne River, which has a beautiful canyon at the bottom.  Nice for a cool stroll in the shade after a hot day.
