Jasper National Park - Icefields Parkway, Wilcox Pass Hike and Bow Lake/Glacier Falls Hike
Hike back from Wilcox Pass
Wilcox Pass Hike
Bow Lake
Bow Lake
From Jasper, we made our way down the Icefields Parkway, which is the highway between the town of Jasper and Lake Louise. This is an area that is fairly high in elevation and has glaciers everywhere you look. Scenery was gorgeous but the camping was cold! We camped at Wilcox Creek CG and hiked part of the way to Wilcox Pass and then headed south the next day. We stopped at Bow Lake and hiked up to Bow Glacier Falls, which was a delight. The hike goes along the stunning turquoise lake, then up through a narrow canyon and finally out to a glacier plain with a waterfall at the head.
