One of the iconic hikes in Jasper is the Skyline backpack. We booked a shuttle from the lower parking area (at Maligne Canyon) to take us to the top and start of the hike at Maligne Lake. The first day was a gorgeous 7.5mile hike over Little Shovel Pass to Snowbowl Campground. The toilet here (which is literally just a toilet sitting on top of a wooden platform with drums underneath - no walls so you're right out there in nature!) is where we met Lumpy the poo, a source of amusement to us both.

On day two, we were scheduled to stop at Curator CG. The steep descent to the CG, the lodge nearby (with people and hoarses) and the fact that we were hiking the trail faster than anticipated led us to decide to push on to Tekarra CG. It's a long day (11.2 mi) getting between these two CGs but what an amazing day it was. The trial climbs and climbs to the notch, which is the highpoint of the trail. From there, you traverse along a high ridge (the Skyline) for a couple of miles before descending to Tekarra CG.

Day three we hiked from Tekarra CG to the parking lot where we left our car and then hightailed it to Jasper Brewing company for a beer!
