Spent the last few days parked out on Ethel Street in front of our friend Tom's house just outside of Adelaide. Setting up Burnie on the suburban street got some interest from the neighbours. We had a great time hanging out with Tom (that's him with the curly black hair) and having a warm shower two days in a row was bliss. Also did lots of laundry that hung, Chinese laundry style, in our van for two days.

We've now headed up to the Clare Valley, which, disturbingly, is close to Snowtown. For those of you who don't know, South Australia is home to lots of nutso types (Esmee says more psycho killers per capita than any other state if I remember correctly) (don't worry parents – we'll be outta here soon). Snowtown is apparently a place where some serial killers stored a bunch of people they'd killed in drums in an abandoned bank vault. Creepy. So, trying not to think about that as we are camped up in the forest!
On a happier note, we got lots of great home made food from the Willunga Market (voted best farmer's market in Australia by Vogue – they do more than just promote crazy fashion folks) and have been slurping down Rieslings like they are going out of style! Heading off on the Riesling trail on our bikes tomorrow (yes, we were just biking the Shiraz trail not long ago). Woo hoo!
