21/5/10 Southwestern WA

Wow! We've finally reached the promised land and it's delivering! The last two nights we camped at Cape le Grand National Park and today we are camped up at Cape Arid National Park. It's stunning and as I sit here writing this, there's only one other party in the entire campground. Just the sounds of Jeff's music playlist, which at the moment is unfortunately playing Rosana by Todo, and the waves from the ocean. The beaches here are made up of fine white sand and the water is turquoise blue. So inviting but it's pretty cold and a storm is coming so the sea was looking pretty angry when we went for a walk earlier. Hoping for some thunder storms tonight but maybe not too much rain cause I don't want to get stuck out here (there are warnings everywhere about getting stuck when roads get washed out). Having our last and best bottle of wine from the Clare Valley tonight and then we are out of wine. Tragic. Thankfully, Margaret River is not too far away.
