My first Sunday and my first day off. We get Sundays off and the Kiwi's kindly accommodate us by allowing us to come over to their store and hang out a bit on their base. The walk from McMurdo takes about 30 minutes and takes around over the "mountain" just outside of town (Observation Hill). The Kiwi base is pretty and quite compared to McMurdo - a nice change of pace. Took a hiking path the long way home, which was beautiful but damn cold...
