The Catlins, New Zealand

On our way north from the ice, we took a bit of time in New Zealand.  That place never runs out of wonders to see!  Our mountain hiking plans were foiled by crazy windstorms so we headed to the very south of the the South Island to check out the Catlins.  The weather was not great so the pictures are few but when the rain stopped, the scenery was lovely.
Fossilized trees at the ocean edge.
It's pretty windy there.

Mount Cook (or at least that's the general area)

Blackberries were growing everywhere.  Bliss.
