Ice Stock

Icestock is the festival to ring in the new year down here.  I feel like by this time in the season, people are silly.  Well, at least everyone in my work group is silly.  We put on our Nutcracker tutus and paraded through the crowd, complete with a flag twirler at the front.  It was goofy and confusing and just fun.  To quote my friend Kate Fey, "this place is like kindergarten for adults".  True story.

There were 8(ish) bands, which goes to show we don't need Metallica to come down here.  They can stay on whatever other part of this big chunk of ice they landed at.

Finally, the carpenters (ie carps) had a coffee and baileys stand and were mixing drinks with a fork in an electric drill.  Silly too but YUM!  Counted down the new year in noon-ish looking sun and then went to bed at 1.

Special Project Other dance crew
P.S.  The dance crew decided to put on another showing of our dance and despite some misgivings, I'm there in the back shaking it with the kids.
