7/8 and 8/8/2010 Railay, Thailand

After Phi Phi Island, we transferred to the climbing mecca of Railay. There are limestone cliffs everywhere and more climbing routes than you can shake a stick at. It was beautiful but hot so we passed on the climbing and swam instead.

The beach were we landed was too shallow and muddy for the boats to get to shore so the rich people get a tractor to take them to and from their boat. Poor folks like us slog through the mud.

In one of the caves in the area, local fishermen carve wood and leave it with offerings with hope of good fishing to come. You may not be able to see it in the picture on the right above, but those are penises of all sizes and colors.
