27-30/7/10 Singapore

Singapore has been a welcome change from Indonesia. With the exception of the fact that both are stinkin hot (the humidity here is unreal), the two places contrast each other sharply. Indonesia was dirty and chaotic. Singapore is spotless and orderly almost to the point of being robotic.


We have been super lucky that our generous friend Kelly invited us to stay with her and her very cute daughter Olivia. They have all kinds of crazy fruit here and we had lots of fun with some strange grape/lychee kinda things .

Kelly had a long day (she's trying to get organised to move as we visit)...

We met some fantastic other Americans (even though Ben is an OSU fan) and had some great food. The food here is seriously fantastic. Too bad that I spent the entire meal sweating like I was running a marathon. We headed out on our own to check out the town and wound up at the botanical gardens (apologies for the photo of Jeff, who has taken to imitating Chinese tourists and doing his tiger impression whenever he doesn't want to pose for a picture). The gardens were beautiful. They even have corn dogs here. What more could we want?
