Old Man Hitch

Lake of the Seven Winds from Pitamakan Pass.
We ended up having two hitchs at Old Man Lake that ended up being referred to as Old Man hitch and Older Man hitch.  I spent a LOT of time there and the mountains and passes in the area have a special place in my heart.  We spent a bunch of time working on the steep and eroding trails along the alpine section of the Dawson-Pitamakan loop and then about 10 days building a retaining wall beneath the trail, which runs at about 8,000ft along a cliff on the west side of Mt. Morgan.  Many days we worked in the clouds but when they cleared, man what a view!
