Grinnell Glacier Hike, Many Glacier, Glacier National Park

After spending Sunday exploring Snow Moon and Falling Leaf lakes, I decided to stay in Many and do some of the day hikes there.  One of the most famous is the Grinnell Glacier Hike.  I got up early to beat the masses (and the heat) as it's a reasonable climb (1840ft up and 7.6 miles round trip) and I also wanted to climb Angel Wing, which adds about 1.5 miles and 1000 feet of gain to the trip.  The upper portions of the trail are carved right into the cliff side and offer amazing views.  Apparently there is also some Native American rock art on a large boulder near the waterfall half way up the hillside.  If you're going, check with the ranger for details.
