Work started out with a bunch of training (including 3 days of chainsaw and tree felling training! Badass!) and then we finally started working on some of the trails. We headed up the Dry Fork valley to Old Man Lake, clearing out trail drains so that rain water leaves the trail rather than running down the center of it, eroding it and making things soggy. We usually hike several miles, shovelling and digging with polaskis as we go. Man, it's hard work.
