There's hope 2/6- 5/6/10

Well, since I'm sure you are dying to know, I'm happy to report that Burnie is starting in the mornings by popping the clutch and also seems to be starting regularly after he's warm without a push start. We are still heading to the master mechanic in Perth since there's a disturbing clicking noise and misfires when climbing hills. I'm pretty sure Burnie's either on borrowed time or has multiple personalities. As always, the issues have started just before the weekend and this time it's a long weekend so we are slowly limping toward Perth.

We befriended a woman at the Lost Lake winery outside of Pemberton and have been invited back to help with pruning the vines on their 25hectares. Might just give it a go but we'll see. We spent two nights in Warren National Park (partly because the forest there was awesome and partly because we couldn't bear to face Burnie's engine issues). The forest is gorgeous and they have these trees that were used for forest fire lookouts that any idiot can climb. We climbed one that is 75m high yesterday! Wow! We also did some mountain biking at Pemberton's kick butt mountain bike park (so new there are not even maps of the routes). Pretty good. Also did a hike through the park and happened upon a little detour that took us to the Pemberton Wine Centre. This was one of my best days in ages. Drinking wine on the porch in the sun with a beautiful golden lab named Bella, which made all the worries melt away.
