Snow

Sea ice that had blown out blew back in and formed this pretty patchwork of white on the bay.
It doesn't seem like snow would be that big of a deal in Antarctica but by February, we'd been relatively snow free (fresh snow that is) for quite a while.  We had a big storm come through, which usually involves fiercely cold wind and a desire to hide inside.  This storm was calm and relatively warm and the giant snow flakes fell fast and thick.  Most stayed inside but a few of us ventured out to enjoy the powder and even attempt a bit of sledding down the road to the wharf.
Hiking around with Erki.

Ice forming on the sea.

This video is NOT exciting.  It's the slowest sledding attempt ever (the snow was wet and deep) but it was a great fun.  It's on here for me to be reminded of a happy time.
