Jack and Chris, two of my friends at Casey, were nice enough to organize a weekend trip to Jack's Hut and let me come along! There are a limited number of people that can go to each hut (and that can get off station each weekend) so I felt pretty lucky.  Jack's Hut is a bit further away than anywhere else that I'd been and has a stunning view of dozens of building-sized icebergs that have grounded off shore and get frozen into the sea ice each year.  I didn't get any pictures that did them justice unfortunately.

Our trip was short.  We left Saturday afternoon after work and had to be back Sunday afternoon but we made the most of the time we had.  The fellas got straight to work and made us a couch and table out of snow and we settled in for afternoon drinks and snacks in the sun.  Lovely.
