Hags in hags

Ready to leave
Putting up tents

Getting ready to eat and drink!
Almost all of the women on station
for the summer in one spot!

Jumping hags...

The spread - it pays to bring
the chef with you!

Jordan the chef on a rare night off.
The bonus of having done survival training is that you are then free to go off station for non-work trips.  My first such trip was to Wilkes, where I'd been for work but this was purely for fun.  The ladies of the station decided to head off en masse and leave the fellas to their own devices on station.  One of the more important aspects of a trip off station is to have a good name for your group to use when checking in on the radio, which pretty the whole station monitors.  Our transport vehicles were hagglunds (or hags for short) so hags in hags fit the bill.  A very fun night with a lot of great gals!

The hut is rather grandiosely
named the Wilkes Hilton
The Wilkes Hilton Hut
