Dry Valleys

Blood Falls - glacial melt water that's
stained red with algae (I think)
Some end of season pictures from the 2015-2016 season at McMurdo Station.  I was lucky enough to get a quick trip to the Dry Valleys and to see some pretty cool sights along the way.  There's not much that compares to viewing Antarctica from the air!

Scott Base (New Zealand) and
the ice breaking out
Seals in a melt pond near Scott Base.
Vessel - the boat that brings us all the good stuff.
The ice breaker opening up the sea
ice for the tanker and vessel boats.
