Fang Camp Take Two

Riding in the helo to give it another go.

Spring and Thomas on the helo.
After almost a week back in town, we decided to give it another try at Fang camp.  I had the same tent mate but two different campers in the tent next door.  Tim, who is a mountaineer for the Antarctic Services Contract (ASC) convinced me to walk from Fang camp to the upper camp (LEH) to help acclimatize.  I suppose it did help but it was hard work as the walk took us from 9,500 ft at Fang to 11,320 at LEH.  For the rest of the trip, the weather was worse than our first vist but things worked out better and it was a generally uneventful stay (Yay!).
Fang Ridge - the "camp" is on that flat
spot at the top left of the photo.

weather and a video on an ipad.
