Golden Bay, Tata Beach

After the fuelies finally got off the ice, Kate and I met up with a bunch of them and we headed up to Tata Beach (in the Golden Bay area of the south island), where we all had a beach house rented for 5 nights.  It was awesome.  My pictures don't do it justice.  The view was stunning and there was a huge covered deck where we hung out a lot.  What a fun time.  Communal dinners, days hiking and at the beach and we managed a couple of trips to the Mussel Inn in Takata, where they brew some delicious beer.

We drove for 1.5 hours to get to Wharariki Beach, which is
right at the top of the south island.  Well worth the drive!
