It's time to go. I'm a bit sad it's all over but a bit exhausted by the long days, long weeks and the emotional chaos of Jeff's early departure to be with his family. After the plane Jeff was on coming down had to do an emergency landing in terrible conditions because it was running out of fuel, the powers that be decided they weren't sending any more regular jets down (only military planes that have the ability to turn around and go back to New Zealand should conditions be unfavorable for landing). Well, money trumps safety it seems and they are packing us all into a regular old jet. Surreal experience being on it with all your survival gear on in case we crash. Thankfully, we made it to Christchurch safe and sound.
